Welded H-beams are manufactured by cutting steel strips of appropriate thickness to the desired width and then welding the flanges and web together on a continuous welding line. Welded H-beams get their name from the fact that they are produced using a welding process to create an H-shaped cross-section. Welded H-beams are further classified into submerged-arc welded H-beams and high-frequency welded H-beams.
